Executive Director Position

The Innovation Central Society, a non-profit organization focused on creating an environment for increased innovation entrepreneurship in the north-central BC region, has a new and exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual interested in taking on a leadership role in developing and growing this newly formed organization.

You will be stimulated by the opportunity to grow a client -focused organization from inception by utilizing demonstrated business and innovation acumen as well as your management and leadership talents.  This is an opportunity to make a difference through the enhancement, development and commercialization of innovation businesses.

Reporting to the Board, you will provide leadership in all aspects of the operation of the Society. You will collaborate with the Board as they develop their strategy to pursue new opportunities and enhance the innovation and technology sector in the north-central region of BC.

This is a new Society that will establish credibility quickly through your collaborative approach working with a variety of businesses, educational institutions, business organizations and various levels of government within and beyond our region.

Ideally you will have a post secondary degree in business or commerce and have an understanding of the strategic pathways required to support the commercialization of technology innovation.  A diverse knowledge in science, innovation, and technology would be an asset. Your ability to demonstrate several years of increasing responsibility in a business and innovation environment, and strong demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills equips you to make a difference in the region we serve.
