![]() Posted on December 7, 2009. Congratulations to Easy RV Storage Systems of Terrace! Easy RV Storage Systems of Terrace are the receipients of the 2009 Technology Innovator Award at the annual Terrace & District Chamber of Commerce's Business Excellence Awards held on November 21, 2009 at the Best Western Terrace Inn. Since May 2009, Easy RV has manufactured and marketed an innovative, patent-protected RV storage system developed by local resident Harold Daumont. Harold developed and improved the prototype for the system and has been working on a patent in both Canada and the United States. His storage systems fully protect the units in the winter while avoiding trapping moisture which can cause mold. Harold’s innovation is a peak structure with 1 ½ inch aluminum tubing that clicks together and has slide joints that allow the peak structure to be moveable from 7 ½ to 8 ½ feet wide. The system completely rests on the edge of the roof and the wall of the RV so nothing touches the ground. It has a complete cover made of breathable material is UV protected. Harold has received mentoring assistance and advice from Scott Walter of Scotech Systems. Harold is thrilled to have his dream come true…he was able to create something of value and have a business develop from it. His technical innovation is creating opportunity in the region and will continue to do so in the coming years.
